| Description | EPDM is a synthetic rubber known for its superior weather resistance. The flap seal combines EPDM dense rubber and a wire carrier into a single, seamless, continuous seal profile. It provides both the flexibility of sealing and the rigidity of structural support. Dense EPDM rubber has higher mechanical strength and tear resistance, better resistance to compression set. The flap component usually extends from the main body of the seal, providing a flexible lip that compresses against a mating surface to create a tight seal. Designed for applications where a secure connection, excellent sealing, and durability are important. It has excellent grip strength and does not require additional adhesives, making it easy to install. The steel wire provides a strong, resilient core that allows the seal to "clip on" or "push on" to a flange or edge, ensuring it is securely attached. It prevents the seal from easily detaching, even under vibration or movement. encasing the steel wire within the dense EPDM rubber, allowing the seal to conform to curved or irregular surfaces more effectively. EPDM's inherent resistance to weathering, high temperatures, and a wide range of chemicals, combined with the steel carrier, provides long service life. |
