Ethylene Propylene O ring Material Description
The O-ring made of Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) is a type of elastomeric seal commonly used in various industries for sealing applications. EPR is a type of synthetic rubber derived from the copolymerization of ethylene and propylene. It often contains a small amount of diene, which provides additional cross-linking sites for improved elasticity and heat resistance. 
Generally, EPR o-rings are known to possess excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and UV exposure, and has very good elasticity and flexibility, good chemical resistance (many acids, bases, and some hydrocarbons), and good electrical insulation property. Ethylene propylene o-ring limited resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, and some types of oils. Not suitable for applications with continuous exposure to high temperatures above its upper limit. EPR rings are typically black in color, with a long-lasting shelf life.
