Locking Rubber Window Gasket & Locking Strip Installation

• Two-piece locking rubber window gaskets are widely used in various industries and are commonly used for fixed windows in automobiles, RVs, and industrial equipment. Two-piece locking rubber gasket includes a main seal gasket and a separate locking key. The simple installation process is as follows:
• Step 1. Clean the window where the seal is installed. Keep the window frame and new glass clean and dry.
• Step 2. Measure and cut the locking gasket. 
• Step 3. Install the main gasket. Push the main gasket to the edge of the window frame or body panel, making sure the special groove for the "lock key" faces the outside of the window or the application direction you specify. Apply soapy water around the opening.
• Step 4. Install the glass. Spray a sufficient amount of soapy water into the groove of the seal where the glass is installed, and then place the bottom edge of the window glass into the groove of the seal.
• Step 5. Installing the locking key usually requires a special windshield locking strip tool. This tool is designed to guide the key smoothly into its slot without damaging the gasket or glass. For easy insertion, both the lock key groove and the lock key itself need to be sprayed with a sufficient amount of soapy water. The key is usually fed into the slot, usually starting at the corner and working around the perimeter of the window. The locking tool will stretch the gasket as the key is inserted, forming a tightly compressed "lock."
• Step 6: Confirm that the locking gasket is evenly installed, the glass is completely covered, and the lock is fully and firmly inserted into the groove.
